This week's Forte gathering was held by our Headmaster and Deputy Head of Co-curricular and partnerships. He was delighted to meet with this week's winners and congratulate them on their efforts and achievements. Our winners were selected because they exhibited Forte virtues or values...

Charlotte (4th Form)
Charlotte has been successful at her county cricket trials and has been selected to be part of the U16 girls squad.
Ted (4th Form)
Since joining Oswestry School in September, Ted has shown remarkable drive and enthusiasm to not only do well but to strive for excellence in all aspects of his studies. He has quickly adapted to new expectations and demonstrated a mature attitude toward learning. His growing ability to use feedback effectively to critically analyse his next steps shows real academic maturity and determination. His commitment to continuous improvement is impressive and highly commendable. Keep up the fantastic work ethic, Ted — you will go far!
Gabe (Lower Sixth Form)
Gabe has worked hard during the first half of term during cross-country club with impressive progress seen, including a fantastic top five placing at the House Cross-Country. Gabe has settled in well to the Sixth Form more generally and has demonstrated commendable resilience and positivity in embarking upon a new start. I look forward to seeing him further thrive and flourish in the terms ahead, including—but not limited to—his running!
Ahmed (2nd Form)
Last term, Ahmed won Gold in The James of St George Model Castle Award for his great model castle build. He transported the castle all the way from Germany for the competition! Amazing independent work, Ahmed!
William (4th Form)
William produced an excellent presentation about the culture and language of Wales, which he presented to residents at the Bluebell View Care Home as part of Community Action. The residents enjoyed what he had to say very much.
Isobel (4th Form)
Brilliant contribution to Oswestry School life on the South African Exchange Programme. Izzy has been a popular and valued member of Guinevere House. She has formed a lasting friendship with Nell, and it has been especially pleasing to see their relationship blossom. They are true kindred spirits, a reflection of both their wonderful personalities, but particularly of Izzy’s warmth and kindness, which she brought with her from the moment she joined Oswestry School. Izzy has been an active and enthusiastic member of the school community, taking part in a wide range of sports and activities. She is a real credit to both her family and her school, and we wish her every success as she continues her educational journey. We know Nell will be eagerly looking forward to seeing her again when she returns to South Africa in April.
Olivia (4th Form)
Brilliant contribution to Oswestry School life on the South African Exchange Programme. Following in the footsteps of her brother, Olivia has been a wonderful asset to the Oswestry School community. She has embraced the exchange programme wholeheartedly, bringing positivity and optimism to Guinevere House. Olivia has taken part enthusiastically in a wide range of activities, including reading, music, performing arts, and sports. We wish her every success as she continues her journey at St Mary’s, and we look forward to seeing her again when we return to South Africa next summer.
Oscar (4th Form)
Brilliant contribution to Oswestry School life on the South African Exchange Programme. Oscar has been an outstanding member of the Oswestry School community. He has shown full commitment to the Performing Arts Programme, playing an integral role in preparing for the October play. Oscar has also been a positive and supportive member of School House, contributing to its spirit and success. We wish him every success as he continues his journey at Kearsney College. In recognition of his dedication and character, Oscar is awarded the Forte Award for Opportunity.
Luke M (4th Form)
Brilliant contribution to Oswestry School life on the South African Exchange Programme. Luke has been a credit to himself and to the school. He has been an active member of the Oswestry School community, making the most of the many opportunities available, particularly through his involvement in football. As a valued member of School House, his leadership and calm demeanour have provided a reassuring presence throughout the school. Not bad on the golf course too!
Luke N (4th Form)
Brilliant contribution to Oswestry School life on the South African Exchange Programme. Luke has been a superb member of School House. He has been a popular and well-liked member of the Fifth Form, integrating seamlessly into the year group. His golfing ability has been a real highlight, as have his performances on the hockey pitch, where he has represented the school with genuine pride and commitment.
Florence (2nd Form)
Florence’s proactive approach to her studies has been truly impressive this term. She has gone above and beyond in her efforts to improve her literacy skills, demonstrating perseverance and commitment even when faced with challenges. Her drive, focus, and determination to further develop her independent study skills in support of her learning journey are highly commendable and worthy of recognition.
Yimika (Lower Sixth Form)
Yimika led the charge with a group of Lower Sixth girls to arrange a cake sale in aid of this term's charity, Midlands Air Ambulance. Together they raised over £150, which is a testament to her hard work and excellent teamwork skills.
Griff (2nd Form)
Griff has been proactive in furthering his studies. He is committed to pre-learning and overlearning subject content and attends all lessons (including 1:1 support) with a determination to succeed. We are very impressed with your attitude, Griff!
Lucie (3rd Form)
Lucie is a great asset to Oswestry School, consistently demonstrating the school's values and virtues. Thank you for your work within the Animal Club, supporting and inspiring younger members with your caring and passionate leadership style. Lucie is a natural leader, well respected by her younger peers, and an exemplary role model.
