The Forte Award 
Celebrating the Strength and Excelling of Oswestry School pupils

This week's Forte gathering was held by our Headmaster and Deputy Head of Academic and Futures. They were delighted to meet with this week's winners and congratulate them on their efforts and achievements. Our winners were selected because they exhibited Forte virtues or values...

 

 

Seren K (4th)
Seren worked extremely hard on Saturday while representing the U15 Girls Cricket team. She listened to feedback, took on board her teammates' advice and showed real progress in her batting skills.


 

Molly S-T (4th)
In preparation for her Grade 3 exam, she has shown great resilience, dedication and determination to get the work done. In particular, her practice schedule this past term has been commendable.


 

 

Zac H (2nd) and Ollie J (2nd)
Zac and Ollie joined their teammates from Oswestry Tigers U13 club to be presented with their awards as winners of their group in the Shropshire Junior Football League. The team have worked incredibly hard this season and are delighted with their success.


 

 

 

Ramiro I (5th) and Toby T (5th)
For leading the hymns and music in our Boarders' Chapel Service this evening and for doing a brilliant job. Thank you! The Rev thanks you, too, for all the time you've devoted to practicing over the past week.

 

Charlie L (1st)
Charlie has given up his time this year to support pupils and prepare warm ups for the Junior Dance Academy. Whilst this has been a wonderful help to Charlie's own growth, specifically in dance, his help has been a huge part of the academy's success. Thank you for taking the lead and supporting the younger children so wonderfully. 

 

Bea L (L6th)
For representing the school with excellence at the Athletics event on Friday: running sports events, timekeeping, being positive and proactive, engaging with other school staff and pupils & showcasing our school in an excellent light. Bea was Miss Jones's right-hand woman - professional when speaking with pupils from other schools & staff members, supporting tasks which Miss Jones assigned her and organising the Oswestry School team.

 

Jack M (L6th)
For representing the school with excellence at the Athletics event on Friday: running sports events, timekeeping, being positive and proactive, engaging with other school staff and pupils & showcasing our school in an excellent light. Jack was praised highly by the St Martins teacher due to his impeccable manners, organisation and leading of the long jump.

 

Arda O(1st)
Arda has had an excellent first year at senior school. He has shown himself to be responsible, hardworking and has the reputation for being one of the kindest boys in first form. He has flourished this year and we can see that great things lie ahead for him. Well done Arda, keep going! 

 

Isla R (3rd)
For leading our U15 Cricket team on Saturday superbly. She was a role model & demonstrated core leadership skills. She was kind, supportive and empathetic yet ensured we were in a good place as a team to be competitive. 

 

Antonin S (L6th)
For representing the school with excellence at the Athletics event on Friday: running sports events, timekeeping, being positive and proactive, engaging with other school staff and pupils & showcasing our school in an excellent light. Bella W-J (3rd)
Bella has given up her time this year to support pupils and prepare dances for the Junior Dance Academy. Whilst this has been a wonderful help to Bella's own growth, specifically in dance, her help has been a huge part of the academy's success.
