Pastoral and Wellbeing

Pastoral care is at the heart of everything we do at Oswestry School. We are a community built on empathy, compassion and kindness and we pride ourselves on the nurturing environment within which we all study and work. All members of staff play a part in building positive relationships with our pupils and providing them with the care and support they need to grow and flourish. 

At Oswestry School each pupil is seen and known and their individuality is both celebrated and encouraged. We seek to develop the unique talents and characteristics of all members of our school community and are fully committed to supporting them every step of the way.

Alongside the important relationships that are forged with a variety of staff, each pupil has a designated tutor, who meets with them every day and who is a first point of contact for pupils and their families. Being a tutor is a very important part of the work that our staff do and it makes them uniquely placed to know, understand and support the young people as they navigate their educational journey.
