Oswestry School Senior
At Oswestry School, education goes beyond the classroom. Our holistic approach ensures pupils develop the skills and confidence needed for success in an ever-changing world. Dedicated and passionate teachers foster a love of learning, encouraging curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking.
The Senior School caters for pupils aged 11 to 18, the Lower School (First to Third Form) is dedicated to providing an exceptional foundation before pupils embark on their GCSE studies. Personalised support and appropriate challenges allow each pupil to advance at their own pace, growing in confidence and skillset.
Before entering Upper School, pupils choose their subjects for the two-year GCSE course. Most select eight subjects, resulting in nine GCSEs, including both English literature and English language. Core subjects such as mathematics, English, and science are mandatory, along with at least one foreign language. This ensures a broad and balanced education, equipping students with diverse skills and comprehensive knowledge.
The Oswestry journey doesn’t end after pupils have completed their GCSEs but continues into the pinnacle of the Oswestry journey, the sixth form.
