Revision Camp 2026

Oswestry's unique Revision Programme is available to current pupils and to those from outside the school. Offering boarding and day options, the camp focuses on helping pupils find their way to their most productive, most focused state as they prepare for those all-important examinations.  

There is no silver bullet for revision, there is no single right way to do it. That's why our tailored programme works with pupils and parents to find the best possible timings, priorities, methods and approaches to suit each individual pupil.

From the initial on-boarding meeting through to your arrival on the programme, our dedicated staff will work with you to determine: what you are most worrried about, what most affects your focus, the parts of the day when you are at your most productive and how you like to relax.

More than this, we will help you to build a revision plan for the whole exam season - ensuring that you feel fully confident and ready to do yourself justice when the papers roll around.

Suitable for pupils facing their A Level or GCSE exams, pupils can join for a single day, a week for the full fortnight.

Our prices start at £90 per day, but multi-day discounts are available.

A limited number of boarding places are available and weekend supervision for boarders is available by request.

All pupils can enjoy breakfast and lunch in the school's excellent catering facilities.

Last year's pupils not only found the experience extremely helpful, but performed superbly well in their examinations, too - with many significantly surpassing their predictions.

About the Programme Director

Maurice joined Oswestry in 2023, having been appointed to develop and establish the first International Summer Programme. Since that time, his remit has expanded to include further international projects (including short-stay immersion) and the Revision Camp.

Educated in Classics at St John's College, Oxford, Maurice has also worked at some of the country's most prestigious independent school's including Canford and Shrewsbury as, Academic and Senior Deputy. He is a trustee of the HMC Projects organisation, which works with gifted and talented pupils worldwide to ensure that they find a route through to the best possible academic opportunities.

Outside of his working life, Maurice is a published author (under the pseudonym Henry J Cockburn) and has also won national awards for his musical compositions.
