Learn, Lead & Live at Oswestry's  Outstanding Summer School

Designed to give pupils an authentic exprience of life at one of the UK's oldest boarding schools, we are extremely proud of our Summer School which blends a rigorous academic programme (suited to all levels of English from Beginner to Advanced) with a wealth of co-curricular activities and excursions.

Open to pupils from 8 to 18 and staffed by Oswestry School teachers and boarding staff, the programme has been enormously successful and places are already filling up for 2026. 

Regardless of whether they stay for one, two or three weeks, pupils can expect an enriching and memorable experience and to leave havign made their own mark on the school!

From the online welcome meeting to the final graduation ceremony, every step of the journey is designed to help students feel part of our vibrant and supportive community.

Parent & Child Programme

Alongside our popular Summer School programme we also offer a Parent and Child Course. This week-long programme, open to parents and children (aged 6-16), builds on the power of inter-generational education to ensure that everyone enjoys a thoroughly memorable learning experience.

A rigorous programme of English language teaching sees a combintion of blended lessons (where parents and children learn together) and tailored, ability-based classes in which our qualified teachers can assist both groups in unlocking their potential.

In the afternoons and evenings, a varied and exciting programme of activities and excursions is provided, catering for the interests and abilities of all and taking in some of the UK's most iconic locations.

Immersion Programmes

Alongside our Summer Offerings, Oswestry is delighted to offer one and two week immersion programmes to pupils from around the world.

These taster courses offer pupils an experience of what it is really like to be part of the Oswestry commuity, to study alongside UK and International students and to acclimatise to the rhythms and routines of boarding life.

These courses are extermely popular and interested agencies and schools are advised to book well in advance to secure a place during the winter season.
