The Forte Award
Celebrating the Strength and Excelling of Oswestry School pupils

This week's Forte gathering was held by our Headmaster and Senior Deputy Headmaster. They were delighted to meet with this week's winners and congratulate them on their efforts and achievements. Our winners were selected because they exhibited Forte virtues or values...

Lucinda (4th Form)
Isaac (Lower Sixth)
Jeffrey (4th Form)
Joshua (4th Form)
Thank you to Lucinda, Isaac, Jeffrey, and Joshua for the effort and enthusiasm they showed in sharing their knowledge of Chinese New Year with both Senior and Prep pupils. They delivered excellent assemblies with confidence and clarity. Speaking in front of a large audience of peers is never easy, and they should be rightly proud of how well they represented both themselves and the wider community.

Tabby (Lower Sixth)
Tabby has shown tremendous courage in committing to perform at the Christmas Concert, the Lunchtime Concerts, and the Oswestry Youth Music Festival, each one a significant step beyond her comfort zone. Her piano teacher and Mr Fitch have been particularly impressed by her enthusiasm, dedication to practice, and consistently positive attitude. A wonderful example of embracing opportunity with determination.

Edward (4th Form)
Edward has demonstrated admirable resilience by refusing to give up when faced with challenges. Even when finding things difficult, he has maintained a positive attitude and continued to push forward, achieving strong results as a consequence. Very well done.

Lucas (3rd Form)
Lucas showed remarkable thoughtfulness and care in helping his immersion buddy settle into school life last week. It was clear that his buddy quickly felt safe, secure, and increasingly confident, thanks in large part to Lucas’ warm and welcoming approach. A superb example of responsibility in action.

Arthur (4th Form)
Arthur stepped in at short notice to take over buddy responsibilities last week and did so with exceptional diligence and initiative. He ensured that his buddy felt safe, supported, and in the right place at the right time throughout the week. His maturity and proactive attitude were greatly appreciated.

Tilly (3rd Form)
Tilly took on the lead role of Jack in a production of Jack and the Beanstalk at the Holroyd Community Theatre and delivered a fantastic performance. A wonderful achievement and a testament to her confidence and commitment.

Julia (4th Form)
Julia made a profound difference to her immersion buddy’s experience last week. Initially nervous, her buddy left Oswestry having made new friends and gained real confidence, clearly feeling welcomed into the community. Julia’s warmth and kindness truly embodied the ethos and values of the school.

Cosme (4th Form)
Cosme demonstrated real maturity and responsibility in guiding one of our immersion pupils whose English was less confident. He worked thoughtfully and patiently to ensure his buddy felt welcomed, included, and supported both in house and across the school. A superb effort.

Almu (4th Form)
Almu was an outstanding guide and mentor, helping her buddy gain confidence across the school site and feel part of the community. Her enthusiasm and maturity ensured a positive and meaningful experience throughout the week.

Paloma (3rd Form)
Paloma showed exceptional care and consideration as a buddy, ensuring the week was not only positive but genuinely meaningful. She offered warmth, friendship, and consistent support, allowing her buddy to feel fully included and at ease within the school community.
