Whole School Charity

Our Senior School Oswestrian entrepreneurs truly shone at this year’s Charity Christmas Enterprise Fair in support of Midlands Air Ambulance, which proved to be bigger, busier and more festive than ever! With 60 student-run stalls, the morning was bursting with creativity, community spirit and Christmas cheer.

There were stocking fillers galore, with beautiful handcrafted gifts ranging from festive decorations, phone charms and candlesticks to handmade cards, bracelets and earrings. Sweet-toothed visitors were spoiled for choice with delicious homemade treats including festive fudge, shortbread, gingerbread and brownies, while those craving something savoury enjoyed hot dogs and freshly baked focaccia.

The fair was packed with festive fun too: snowman snap, lucky dips, spin-the-wheel challenges and Christmas-themed guessing games kept the crowds entertained. Musical performances from the Sixth Form band added to the atmosphere, and plenty of brave singers took to the mic for some irresistible Christmas karaoke.

There were also plenty of opportunities to get glittered up with sparkling face painting before striking a pose in the Winter Wonderland photobooth. And of course, a highlight for many was the ever-popular “soak the teachers” stall!

Visitors also loved exploring the Midlands Air Ambulance helicopter POD, which offered a unique chance to step inside and experience what it’s really like in the cockpit.

An impressive £1374 was raised for Midlands Air Ambulance — a fantastic achievement. Well done, everyone!

The Best Business Idea was awarded to Santa’s Selfies for their fantastic festive photobooth, brilliantly run by Annabelle D, Daisy K and Amalie B

With sparkle and glamour in abundance, Best Presented Stall went to Cotton Tail, created and run by Sasha P and Sonya B.

Offering an array of delicious international treats, Best Marketing Strategy was awarded to Festive Flavours of the Globe, run by Heidi S, Edie B, Ada O, Mary K and Izzy C.

Finally, the prize for Largest Donation from Individual Stallholders — for the second consecutive year — was awarded to the wonderfully festive Printed Projects stall, run by Rhys D, Oliver J and Griff D.
