Oswestry School is delighted to announce that Senior Deputy Head Rob Lane has been appointed as the next Headmaster of Clayesmore School in Dorset.  A leading co-educational day and boarding school for pupils aged 8-18, Clayesmore's ethos and holistic vision for education are very much aligned with those of Oswestry School, and this is a well-deserved promotion to Headship following three years of distinguished service to our school community.

Rob Lane commented, "Our move to Clayesmore is an exciting one but leaving the Oswestry community will be with mixed emotions. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time as Senior Deputy Head working with some incredible professionals and inspiring pupils. The boys and I will ensure to make the most of our last two terms in such a warm and friendly school".

Oswestry School Headmaster Peter Middleton commented, "I am thrilled for Rob at his appointment to the Headship of Clayesmore and have every confidence that he will lead their school with distinction in the years ahead, bringing the same expertise, experience, and pupil-driven approach that he has served our community with since joining Oswestry in January 2023.  I am hugely grateful to Rob for all he has done for Oswestry School during his time with us, and he will be greatly missed.  We wish Rob, Sam, Charlie and Alfie every success in the years ahead, and look forward to sharing two final terms with them as a family here at Oswestry before they head south for the start of an exciting new chapter from September 2026.
