Last Saturday, we were delighted to welcome our new boarders to Oswestry School as they arrived for the start of the academic year. The day was filled with excitement, anticipation, and plenty of smiles as pupils settled into their houses, met their houseparents, and began forming new friendships.
From the moment they arrived, our boarding staff and returning pupils were on hand to ensure everyone felt at home. Suitcases were unpacked, common rooms buzzed with chatter, and tours of the campus helped new pupils get their bearings ahead of the busy first week.
The afternoon provided the perfect opportunity for families to meet house teams and learn more about the routines and opportunities that boarding life offers. Parents were able to see first-hand the warm, welcoming environment that makes boarding at Oswestry such a unique experience.
As the day came to a close, there was a real sense of community beginning to grow. Icebreakers and evening activities helped everyone relax and get to know one another, setting the tone for a happy and supportive year ahead.
We are incredibly proud of how quickly our new boarders have embraced their new surroundings. They have already begun to throw themselves into lessons, activities, and house life with enthusiasm. We look forward to watching them thrive, grow in confidence, and make lasting memories during their time here.
