The new academic year began with the whole school community gathering at St Oswald’s for our traditional Start of Term Assembly. It was a moment to pause, reflect, and look ahead together.
Mr Middleton opened the morning with an inspiring address, reminding pupils and staff that “every little helps” and encouraging everyone to make small, positive contributions that add up to something far greater. This theme of collective effort and growth set the tone perfectly for the year ahead.
We also had the pleasure of celebrating our newly appointed Senior Prefects, who were formally introduced to the school. Their dedication and leadership will play a key part in supporting and inspiring their peers throughout the year.
The assembly was a heartening reminder of the strength of the Oswestry School community, bringing together both new and returning pupils in a shared spirit of optimism and purpose. With the year now underway, we look forward to seeing our pupils embrace new opportunities, rise to challenges, and make the most of everything school life has to offer.
