We are thrilled to welcome two new volunteers, Sophia and Emilia, who have joined Oswestry School from Germany for the academic year. Their arrival adds an exciting international flavour to school life and provides pupils with a wonderful opportunity to learn from fresh perspectives while making new friends.

Sophia will be working alongside Mrs Thompson in our Performing Arts Department. With a passion for dance, Sophia is eager to get involved in all aspects of drama and music, from assisting with rehearsals to supporting pupils backstage as they prepare for upcoming productions. Her enthusiasm for the arts will no doubt inspire pupils to express themselves creatively and take an active part in the performing arts programme.

Emilia will be working closely with Ms Suckley, Head of Sport, supporting PE lessons, fixtures, and co-curricular activities. Emilia has a particular love for tennis and is excited to share her skills on court while encouraging pupils to stay active and engaged in sport. Her involvement will help enrich the sporting experience across the school, adding an extra level of energy and expertise.

Both Sophia and Emilia are looking forward to immersing themselves in the rhythm of school life and experiencing the unique atmosphere of a British boarding school. They are equally excited about joining weekend activities and discovering more about the local area during their stay.

Their presence here will offer pupils the chance to engage with German culture, practice language skills, and gain a deeper appreciation of global perspectives.

We are delighted to have Sophia and Emilia join the Oswestry School community and look forward to seeing the impact they will make over the coming year. Please join us in giving them both the warmest of welcomes as they begin this exciting chapter.
