Futures Fortnight is now in full swing, with pupils across the school embracing an inspiring programme of talks, workshops and career-focused activities designed to broaden horizons and spark aspirations.
This week, pupils from First Form to Upper Sixth took part in a diverse range of events. The First and Second Forms kicked things off with The Air Products Challenge, a full-day entrepreneurship experience that encouraged teamwork, creativity and problem-solving. Sixth Form pupils heard from recent graduates in From Oswestry to Uni: What I Wish I Had Known, while another Sixth Form session explored sports entrepreneurship with Alan Lewis from Adrenaline Sports, who spoke about running a regional sports team and managing a sports business.
Throughout the week, pupils also engaged in specialist workshops including physiotherapy and personal training for Sport and Dance Scholars, a Business Solution Architect workshop for Lower Sixth, and networking training for Upper Sixth as part of Connecting for your Future. Careers pathways were further supported with the RJAH NHS Careers Fair and multiple Aico industry visits for Fourth Form pupils.
The week concluded with our Sixth Form Information Evening, where Fifth Form pupils and families explored subjects, opportunities and pathways available beyond GCSE.
Futures Fortnight continues next week with even more exciting opportunities ahead. Our pupils are exploring, questioning, and planning their next steps! This week the energy across the school has been fantastic.
