Demonstrating tactical brilliance, Zac stayed comfortably on the shoulder of the race leader for the first 5.5 laps before making his decisive move. With a powerful surge, he took the lead and never looked back, crossing the finish line more than 30 seconds ahead of the silver medalist from Shrewsbury School. He ran with composure, strength, and confidence throughout the race.
This latest triumph adds to an already exceptional season, following his double victory in the U20 Men’s 1500m and 3000m at the County Championships earlier this term. Zac now holds the title of three-time County Champion—a remarkable achievement and a testament to his hard work and determination.
