2nd Form Trip

As part of their science module on food webs and interdependence, the 2nd Form enjoyed a fantastic educational visit to Chester Zoo. The trip offered a hands-on opportunity to explore how animals fit into ecosystems and the vital role each species plays.

The day began with an interactive workshop examining animal skulls and jaw bones, helping pupils identify feeding habits and predator-prey relationships. After a break for lunch and some fun in the adventure playground, followed by well-deserved ice creams, the students set off to explore the zoo.

With great enthusiasm, they searched for animals they had each researched in advance, focusing on species involved in Chester Zoo’s conservation and breeding programmes. Highlights included Poppy’s Malayan Tapir, Archie’s Fossa, Emily’s Onager, and Jasper’s Tree Kangaroo.

A huge thank you from all of 2nd Form to Mr Cadwallader for organising such a memorable and inspiring day.
