Emma Evans Charity Three Peaks Challenge

One of our dedicated staff members, Emma Evans, has recently undertaken an extraordinary feat of endurance to raise awareness and funds for a rare and often overlooked form of cancer.

In December 2024, her best friend Sophie was diagnosed with Low Grade Serous Ovarian Cancer, a rare type of ovarian cancer that primarily affects women in their 30s and 40s. Due to its rarity, the condition receives very limited research funding, prompting a close-knit group of friends to take action.

Determined to make a difference, they set themselves the formidable goal of completing the National Three Peaks Challenge – scaling Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike, and Snowdon, all within 24 hours.

Last weekend, despite facing gruelling weather conditions, the team completed the challenge in an impressive 23 hours and 43 minutes. The emotional high point came as they descended Snowdon, where Sophie was waiting to greet them at the finish line.

Their incredible effort has raised an astonishing £18,700 so far – a testament to their determination, friendship, and the power of community.

If you would like to support this important cause and help them reach even greater heights, donations can still be made via their JustGiving page:

We are incredibly proud of our Emma and the team behind this challenge. Their resilience and compassion are truly inspiring.
