Oswestry School maths teacher, Emma Evans, is taking on the famously grueling Three Peaks Challenge to raise money for the Low-Grade Serous Ovarian Cancer Initiative — a global initiative dedicated to radically improving the survival of women with low-grade serous ovarian cancer — and the Lingen Davies Cancer Fund, a local Charity that exists to enhance and improve the situation for local cancer patients.
Emma and her group of friends are embarking on this challenge in support of their best friends, Sophie, who has recently been diagnosed with Low-Grade Serous Carcinoma, a rare form of ovarian cancer. It is incredibly under-researched, meaning treatment options are quite limited. Therefore, Emma is on a mission to raise as much as possible to help Sophie and others facing this battle.
On 14th June 2025, Emma and her friends will climb the three highest peaks in England, Scotland, and Wales in just 24 hours. It's a huge physical challenge, but they know it's nothing compared to the fight their friends is going through.
Fundraising is going well, and the group would be grateful for as much support as possible! Please offer your support if you can and make a donation on Emma's JustGiving page... click here to donate, or use the QR code below:
