We are delighted to share the exciting news that Dax, one of our talented pupils, has been offered a place in the Gloucester Rugby Academy for the upcoming season.

Dax plays for Oswestry Rugby Club outside of school, where his dedication and ability were recognised by his club coach. As a result, he was nominated to attend the Gloucester Rugby Foundation Phase Assessment Day for current Under 14 players. This assessment is part of the Academy’s talent identification process and follows a strict framework used by coaches to identify young players with potential.

During the session, Dax took part in a range of rugby-based activities designed to test core skills, decision-making, and athletic ability. The aim was to give every player the chance to shine in a supportive and engaging environment.

Following the May assessments, Dax was successfully selected to join the Under-15 Foundation Phase group within the Gloucester Rugby Academy, an exciting step on the player development pathway.

This is a fantastic achievement, and Dax is thrilled to have this opportunity. He is looking forward to developing his game further and hopes that one day he will represent the senior Gloucester Rugby team.

Well done, Dax. We are all incredibly proud of you!
