This week's Forte gathering was held by our Headmaster, Mr Middleton, and overseas guests; Jina Phenix and Alex McGrath, who were delighted to be able to meet with this week's winners and congratulate them on their efforts and achievements. Our winners were selected because they exhibited Forte virtues or values...
Antonin (5th), Luna (5th), Yeva (L6th), Pedro (L6th)
For delivering outstanding pupil-led video tours of their boarding house for the new website, and showcasing boarding life at Oswestry so brilliantly and enthusiastically.
Harry (4th), Henry (L6th), Lisa (L6th), Marie (L6th)
Pearl (4th)
Pearl was amazing in helping a Year 2 pupil who was feeling overwhelmed while at the senior school. She offered her support on her own and helped calm the pupil by reading with her in the library, then cheered her up by dancing around together.
Ben and his Northop Hall hockey club teammates became the Welsh National U14 Boys Hockey champions at the Welsh National Hockey finals held in Swansea earlier this month. This is an outstanding achievement for him and his teammates. Ben has also been selected to play for the North Wales U16 boys hockey team at an international tournament to be held at Malvern School in July, another outstanding achievement, especially given his young age to be selected for this team. And finally he was given the “Rising Star” award by his coaches at his hockey club’s awards evening to recognise his developing skills, commitment, fitness levels and achievements.
