Antonin (5th), Luna  (5th), Yeva (L6th), Pedro (L6th)
For delivering outstanding pupil-led video tours of their boarding house for the new website, and showcasing boarding life at Oswestry so brilliantly and enthusiastically.

Harry (4th), Henry (L6th), Lisa (L6th), Marie (L6th)

For providing amazing help and support at PrestFest, a real credit to the school and themselves as they gave up their time to support the afternoon. We were very impressed with their attitude, application, effort and commitment to making the event such a success. Thank you!

Pearl (4th)
Pearl was amazing in helping a Year 2 pupil who was feeling overwhelmed while at the senior school. She offered her support on her own and helped calm the pupil by reading with her in the library, then cheered her up by dancing around together.

Tinna (5th)
Nominated in recognition of her outstanding qualities of kindness. politeness, and respect displayed throughout this academic year. Tinna has consistently exemplified our Values and Virtues, setting a remarkable standard for her peers. Recently when Guinevere housemistress, Mrs McGuire, was off site with Tinna, her exceptional character was highlighted when Mrs McGuire had the privilege of witnessing firsthand Tinna's selfless act of giving up her seat to accommodate another person. This act of kindness is just one example of her genuine concern for others and her willingness to go above and beyond to ensure everyone feels valued and respected. Tinna is an inspiring role model to her peers in Guinevere House. Her positive attitude, empathy, and dedication to fostering a supportive environment make her an invaluable asset to our community. Tinna exemplifies the spirit of kindness and respect that we strive to install in all our pupils.

Ben (3rd)
Ben and his Northop Hall hockey club teammates became the Welsh National U14 Boys Hockey champions at the Welsh National Hockey finals held in Swansea earlier this month. This is an outstanding achievement for him and his teammates. Ben has also been selected to play for the North Wales U16 boys hockey team at an international tournament to be held at Malvern School in July, another outstanding achievement, especially given his young age to be selected for this team. And finally he was given the “Rising Star” award by his coaches at his hockey club’s awards evening to recognise his developing skills, commitment, fitness levels and achievements.

Lucinda (3rd)
For a fantastic performance of Tessarini's 'Allegro' in assembly this week. Head of Music, Mr Fitch, says it is the best Lucinda has played it yet and a brilliant opportunity to showcase her hard work this year.

With the launch of the 2030 Strategic Plan- Forte - pupils will be recognised for embodying and demonstrating the school’s Values and Virtues.  Underpinning all aspects of school life, Oswestry School’s Values and Virtues are central to our school’s vision and ethos, empowering pupils in their Oswestry journey and enabling all individuals to excel and find their forte.

Our Values are what we believe in; things that we hold as important and core to who we are. Oswestry School’s Values are deeply rooted and serve as a firm foundation for positive wellbeing, character development and contribution to society.

Our Values are: Flourishment; Opportunity; Responsibility; Trust; Empathy.

Our Virtues represent a range of skill sets that can be experienced, developed and mastered here at Oswestry School. They are behaviours, character strengths, attitudes and mindsets that enable pupils to thrive at school and flourish in life.

Our Virtues encourage pupils to be: Analytical; Collaborative; Independent; Innovative; Proactive; Resilient.
