Over two magical nights, 76 Key Stage 2 pupils took to the stage in a vibrant production of Moana, performed to nearly 300 friends and family. Rehearsed throughout the Trinity Term in specialist dance, drama, and music lessons, this performance reflects our ethos: that every child has a part to play on stage, with lines to learn, and a role to shine in.
The production was the creative vision of our Director of Performing Arts, Claire Thompson, brought to life with the help of her dedicated team, who choreographed, built sets, collated costumes, managed lighting and sound, and supported the chorus every step of the way.
Claire said:
“What an incredible show! I couldn’t be more proud of all of our performers; their dedication, energy, and courage have been truly inspiring. We had a wonderfully mixed cast: from those who live and breathe Performing Arts to those bravely stepping out of their comfort zones and each one shone in their own unique way. It’s a real testament to the talent and passion of our team that every child walked off that stage with a smile on their face and a sense of achievement. Thank you to everyone who played a part in bringing this production to life, from choreography to costumes, set design to technical support. This year’s set was really magical, transporting us all to the world of Moana. We can’t wait to continue this creative journey in our brand-new Performing Arts Centre once renovations are complete!”
Please take a look behind the curtain of our dress rehearsals earlier in the week to see the passion, teamwork, and growth in confidence that made Moana such a special celebration of our pupils' talents!
