This week's Forte gathering was held by our Headmaster, Mr Middleton, who was delighted to be able to meet with this week's winners and congratulate them on their efforts and achievements. Our winners were selected because they exhibited Forte virtues or values...
Anya (L6th)
Anya helped escort the Contingent colours to the Bailey Head, and then down to the park gates, for the Remembrance Service on Sunday 10 November. Anya, who was carrying the flag, was 'extracted' from the squad and stood with the other standard bearers, lowering the colours for the 2 minutes silence. Anya proudly represented Oswestry School at the Service; playing a prominent part in the Remembrance commemorations. A brilliant effort from one of our senior cadets.

Hannah (U6th)
Hannah took the opportunity to enter the poem competition for Remembrance, run by the Library. She wrote an excellent piece that showed real thought, empathy and style. She went on to do an excellent recital of her piece in front of the whole school at the Act of Remembrance. Yet another way in which Hannah demonstrates making the most of her time at Oswestry, not only grasping every opportunity but doing so with her typically understated competence and determination.
Daniel Grove (L6th)
Daniel performed the Last Post excellently at the School's Act of Remembrance. He continues to grow musically and demonstrate his versatility and talent across the musical sphere. It is a high-stakes, high-pressure moment but he took it in his stride. It is also not the only performance he has done over this period as he has been representing the school at multiple Remembrance events over the last week. Well done!
