This week's Forte gathering was held by our Headmaster, Mr Middleton, and Deputy Head Futures, Mr Price. Both were delighted to be able to meet with this week's winners and congratulate them on their efforts and achievements. Our winners were selected because they exhibited Forte virtues or values... 

Eglantine (4th)

Eglantine has been nominated for a Forte Award for her incredible time spent in Guinevere House this half term. Her presence has brought an abundance of happiness to our community, and her participation in all activities has made a positive impact. Her creativity has been a shinning light for us all. She has embraced boarding life brilliantly and we are thankful for the way she has enriched our community this half term. 

Domitille (4th)

Domitille has been nominated for a Forte Award in recognition of her time spent in Guinevere House this half term. Her presence has greatly enriched our community and her active participation in all areas of boarding life has not gone unnoticed. Domitille has consistently shown great respect and care towards both her fellow boarders and staff members. She has seamlessly adapted to boarding life and has been an absolute delight to have around. We are grateful for her positive attitude and contributions to our boarding community. 

Louis (2nd) 

Louis has been excelling in his subject areas and it is a delight to see him smiling and enjoying finding his forte! 

Charlotte (3rd)

Charlotte has been selected for U15 Shropshire County Cricket following numerous trials and is now training every other Sunday to prepare for the summer season. 

Ekaterina (4th)

Ekaterina has shown great resilience this term in many aspects of her life. She is always diligent with completing her school work and prep. She has also made excellent progress with her flute practice in recent weeks. Well done, Ekaterina! 

Henry (3rd), Jasper (3rd)

Henry and Jasper have taken on a very ambitious Python programming project (post GCSE level). They have already developed a working game with graphics, sound and custom sprites. Most of this work being completed at home and during lunchtimes. The work is so good that it has been shared with the whole grade as an example of what is possible.

Dan (U6th)

Dan has been taking responsibility for his independent learning. He has attended a number of interventions to refine his study skills and typing skills. He has really impressed the team with his attitude. 

James (2nd)

Brilliant performance in the school rugby match last week, swiftly followed by helping coach the squad this week, showing a high level of responsibility. James should be justly proud of his efforts and his contribution to the team.

Enoch (L6th), Kary (L6th), Brittany (L6th), Giselle (L6th)

Awarded for the huge amount of work you put into sharing your culture and the importance of Chinese New Year with our community. You prepared and delivered 3 assemblies, stuffed chocolates into red envelopes, helped decorate the Refectory, served tea and took part in the dumpling marking activity. Your were a great support to Mrs Selby, an ambassador for you culture, and certainly demonstrated the Forte Value of 'contributing positively and making a meaningful impact' on the whole School community. Thank you! 


This year, with the launch of the 2030 Strategic Plan - Forte - pupils will be recognised for embodying and demonstrating the school's Values and Virtues.
