Second former, Darcey, attended the University of Liverpool last night to collect a maths award. The Mathematical Education on Merseyside (MEM) awarded Darcey a Certificate of Merit for her participation in the 2024 MEM Challenge Competition.
The event included the opportunity to browse and buy a large selection of mathematical books, complete some fun Maths challenges including a number trail and a computer quiz.
To be recognised is quite an achievement - the competition received 1137 entries from 108 schools and only 92 awards were given in total (roughly 8% of entrants). Huge well done to Darcey for her accomplishment.
