Oswestry School is proud to announce the appointment of Sally Bromley as the new Head of Netball. A seasoned leader and passionate advocate for the sport, Sally brings extensive coaching credentials, strategic vision, and an impressive legacy of achievement at every level of netball.

Sally holds a Level 2 Netball Coaching qualification and a Diploma in School Business Management. Her career highlights include serving as the Head Coach of the U17 NPL Severn Stars, after earning a promotion from Assistant Head Coach. She has also held leadership positions as Head of Netball at the University of Wolverhampton and Invictus Academy Trust.

Her impact stretches beyond education into community and elite sport. As an England Netball Development Community Coach and South Staffs County U16 Head Coach, she has been instrumental in nurturing young talent. Additionally, she founded and ran Libra Lea Netball Club, which competed in the West Midlands Senior Regional League and earned the Outstanding Club award at the West Midlands Goalden Globes.

Notably, Sally was recognised for her contributions to sport with a nomination for the prestigious BBS Unsung Heroes in Sport Award, finishing in a commendable third place - a testament to her dedication, integrity, and behind-the-scenes impact on the netball community.

Sally’s career also includes commercial leadership as the former Commercial Manager for Wolverhampton Wanderers FC, blending her sports knowledge with business acumen.

Oswestry School Director of Sport Sofie Suckley commented: “We are thrilled to welcome Sally to our team.  Her passion for the game, proven expertise, and inspirational leadership will play a pivotal role in developing our netball programme and empowering our pupils and impel our programme forward.”

Sally will commence her new role immediately, spearheading the development and delivery of a high-quality netball experience built on ambition, inclusivity, and excellence.
