We were thrilled for our U16 football team who made it through to the National Final of the Society of Heads Cup 2024. The team travelled to Market Harborough Town Football Club and took on Cokethorpe School in a nail biting finalle to the competition.
Leading 1-0 with 10 minutes remaining Cokethorpe equalised to take the game to extra time. A second goal for Cokethorpe in the second half of extra time meant they led 2-1 and with the Oswestry boys pushing for an equaliser they were caught on the break to lose out 1-3.
It was a gallant effort from the boys who should be incredibly proud of their performance and achievements. Well done to all of you!
