With Activities week in full swing, the usual Forte gathering was a little lonely for Mr Middleton! Congratulations to this week's winners for their efforts and achievements; they were selected because they exhibited Forte virtues or values...

Tabbitha (3rd)
Tabbitha has been outstanding with her pursuit of poetry. She came to me to ask her how to write a poem for Poetry Evening, and since then has not stopped. She has found her voice and is writing poetry almost every day - it has been delightful and inspiring to watch.
Bella (2nd)
Bella has been an outstanding art pupil this year. She has gone above and beyond in every task that she has completed. She has made wonderful progress by exercising a mature and determined wish to improve. The standard of her work, for her age, is just beautiful in terms of technical ability and creativity. It has been a pleasure to work with Bella this year.
Max (3rd)
For representing Shropshire in shooting.
Rubi (L6th)
For showing her ability to stand up at Learning Support SEN Coffee morning and sharing her experience of being in Learning Support. She showed flourishment and resilience whilst sharing her experience. A really proud moment for her and for us. Well done Rubi!
Leo (1st)
For making huge strides in your learning, and developing positive communication skills with peers and teachers. Your hard work with this hasn't gone unnoticed and we would very much like to reward that Leo, well done. Keep up the work hard.
Sienna (3rd)
Sienna played in an U15 Cricket festival at the weekend and we received enthusiastic feedback of her supportive and sportsmanship behaviour from a parent. It is great to see Sienna demonstrating our school values.

Lina (L6th)
Lina has been so helpful and kind to the Prep School pupils during swimming club. I am extremely proud of Lina and all the effort she has made to support me this year with swimming. Lina is very responsible and trustworthy and the Prep children are very fond of her.
This year, with the launch of the 2030 Strategic Plan- Forte - pupils will be recognised for embodying and demonstrating the school’s Values and Virtues. Underpinning all aspects of school life, Oswestry School’s Values and Virtues are central to our school’s vision and ethos, empowering pupils in their Oswestry journey and enabling all individuals to excel and find their forte.
Our Values are what we believe in; things that we hold as important and core to who we are. Oswestry School’s Values are deeply rooted and serve as a firm foundation for positive wellbeing, character development and contribution to society. Our Values are: Flourishment; Opportunity; Responsibility; Trust; Empathy.
Our Virtues represent a range of skill sets that can be experienced, developed and mastered here at Oswestry School. They are behaviours, character strengths, attitudes and mindsets that enable pupils to thrive at school and flourish in life. Our Virtues encourage pupils to be: Analytical; Collaborative; Independent; Innovative; Proactive; Resilient.
