We are delighted to announce that Mr Will Taylor has been appointed as Head of Lower School from September 2024 as Miss Suckley moves into her new role as Director of Sport.

Will has been at Oswestry School for a number of years in the English Faculty but also as a boarding Housemaster in both School House and Holbache House for a total of six years and has continued to be heavily involved in sport and Adventure Education throughout his time. Will says 'I am thrilled to assume the role of Head of Lower School, especially as September will mark my tenth year here. Having spent most of my tenure as a Housemaster within our boarding community,

I'm eager to return to a more direct role in nurturing our pupils’ development across all aspects. Miss Suckley has admirably guided the Lower School this past year, and I look forward to building upon her strong foundation. We are set to welcome an exceptional group of form tutors in September, each bringing a rich blend of academic and pastoral expertise. I am excited to collaborate with this dynamic team to provide our pupils with the most enriching and supportive start at Oswestry School. The pupils in Lower School are fantastic, and I am enthusiastic about working closely with them and their families throughout their journey in this vital stage of their education.'

Mr Taylor will be involved in the various transition events that are planned for this term and is already working closely with Miss Suckley and Miss Thompson in getting to know the Lower School pupils and preparing for a new intake in September. We are excited to welcome Mr Taylor back into pastoral leadership and know that his experience and expertise will ensure that the Lower School cohorts go from strength to strength.
