Governor

Oswestry School marked a special milestone on Speech Day this year, celebrating 25 years of service from its Chair of Governors, Mr Peter Wilcox-Jones.

Mr Wilcox-Jones has played a pivotal role in the life and leadership of the school since taking on the position in 1999. Over the past quarter-century, he has overseen significant developments across the campus, supported successive Heads, and helped shape a modern vision for one of the country’s oldest independent schools.

During this year’s Speech Day ceremony, Headmaster Peter Middleton paid tribute to Mr Wilcox-Jones, describing him as a progressive and enthusiastic leader whose passion for the school has never wavered. A small presentation was made to mark the occasion and to thank him for his extraordinary dedication and long-standing commitment to Oswestry School.

Mr Wilcox-Jones’ 25 years in post represents a rare and outstanding contribution to school governance. His leadership has helped to ensure a strong foundation for the school’s continued success.

Oswestry School is proud to be supported by such a dedicated Governing Body, and grateful for Mr Wilcox-Jones’ ongoing guidance and service.
