Anti-bullying week is a national theme being recognised in schools across the country this week. Both the senior school and the Prep school showed solidarity in supporting the movement. On Wednesday Mr Heard, supported by the Anti-Bullying ambassadors from Year 6 delivered a powerful assembly that reminded the children that we are all unique and that this uniqueness is something to be celebrated and valued. The Anti-Bullying ambassadors, each who has received training in recognising bullying and standing up for the inclusivity of all, are excellent role-models for our younger children and were proactive in inspiring the children to show their commitment to anti-bullying by wearing odd socks.
On Tuesday, odd socks were donned across the school, from Reception to Upper Sixth, with pupils, Teachers and support staff all getting involved. On Wednesday break time, the Senior pupils, led expertly by the Sixth Formers, gathered on the quad to strut their stuff for a TikTok video which has already been viewed over 20 thousand times and has had recognition from 'Anti-Bullying Alliance'.
