During the Easter school holiday, Freddie, year 10, was invited to join a National Ski Schools Association camp in Italy after qualifying through a dry slope race with the school team. He joined a group from schools all over the country to be coached by Jo Ryding a youth ski racing Olympian.
The sun shone and the snow was perfect in the lovely resort of Pila. Each day started with free skiing to improve confidence and then technique was practiced on the slalom course. Friendships were struck up and the camaraderie by the end of the week was great to see.
Freddie hopes to build on this experience and improve his slalom times on the dry slope over the coming months. Great work Freddie!
