Sixth Form Subjects

The Oswestry School Sixth Form curriculum allows most pupils to study three A-level (or equivalent) subjects plus an EPQ. Pupils who are academically able may wish to study four subjects; however, the former combination is more typical. We do not have fixed options blocks year to year, but instead create option blocks based on Fifth Form pupils’ preferred subject combinations. Where we are unable to fulfil all of a pupil’s preferred choices, we ensure that we provide an appropriate academic programme for the pupil’s future Higher Education or employment ambitions.
