Equestrian
Whether pupils are complete beginners, wanting to ride for fun or are already riding competitively, at Oswestry School we can support and continue their riding development.
Working in partnership with a local riding establishment, all pupils have an opportunity each week to ride and grow their horse and stable management skills. Horses are available to ride to suit all abilities.
For horse owning pupils, from the experienced to novice, there are regular opportunities to compete and our School teams successful at National Schools Equestrian Association (NSEA) competitions.
The Equestrian Team Manager selects a range of NSEA affiliated inter-schools events where pupils can compete including show jumping, arena eventing, grass roots, dressage and one day eventing. Teams and individuals are then chosen to represent Oswestry School.
The School ensures that every pupil who is interested in equines has the opportunity to grow their skills. All aspects of horsemanship can be developed so that both hobbyist and aspirational riders are prepared for a lifetime’s love and involvement with horses.
