Last week was a busy week for all things 'international' when we joined our pupils from overseas in a number of activities and celebrations...
On Tuesday, Spanish pupils Iria, Mireia, Flavia and Marionna gave a wonderful assembly to Lower School on the differences between Spanish and English school life. We enjoyed food from Spain in the Refectory, where there was delicious garlic chicken and spanish omelette and the churros were a huge hit!
On Thursday afternoon, our Spanish pupils came together to make a sweet treat called 'Torrijas'. This is similar to French Toast but is traditionally served cold. This was shared with pupils during breaktime on Friday. On Friday morning we also had an interform quiz on Spain.
Also, on Friday, we celebrated Orthodox Easter with our pupils from Montenegro, Serbia, Ukraine and Russia. The pupils had fun dying and decorating eggs. On Sunday they played a traditional game which involves 'battling' with the eggs by smashing them together, end to end, to see whose egg is harder.
