Upper sixth pupil, Oliver, is making excellent progress in the water, taking part in rowing events and training camps...
There has only been one race for the junior squads this season due to the poor weather and floods, but he won this in a J18 double sculls. Despite the lack of competitive events, Oliver hasn't let this stop him and took part in the Wales U19 training camp at Kings school in Chester earlier this month.
He has also been asked to compete as part of the high performance 8 (senior squad) at Grosvenor Rowing Club in Chester.
Previous to this, Oliver has won several medals at regattas and head races around the region and has also competed in National Schools Regattas at Dorney Lake, Windsor and at the Junior Rowing Championships at Strathclyde Park, Glasgow.
We look forward to hearing about his journey during the rest of the season!
