Oswestry places 2nd at Schools Biathlon Competition
On Sunday 17th November a team of pupils attended the Schools Biathlon competition, representing Oswestry School. The competition began with running on the athletics track at Coleg Cambria in the morning, followed by swimming at Connah's Quay swimming pool in the afternoon.
It was an outstanding performance by all those pupils who attended. Oswestry School came second overall in the competition and have received a shield. There were some amazing individual results too, all are listed below.
- Pip B - first run, second swim (second overall)
- Freddie G - run position fourth, swim position third, (third overall)
- Eli A - fourth in the run, second in the swim (fourth overall)
- Joseph B - run position first, swim position first (first overall)
- Bella L - first in the run, second in the swim (second overall)
- Kate L - sixth in the run, sixth in the swim (sixth overall)
- Seb H - third in the run, third in the swim (third overall)
- Eoin L- fifth in the run, fourth in the swim (fifth overall)
- Lucas L - sixth in the run, second in the swim (third overall)
- Thomas L - second in the run, third in the swim (first overall)
- Connie C - third in the run, third in the swim, (fourth overall)
- Zac W - first in the run.
We are eagerly waiting to hear if any of our pupils have qualified for the National Schools Biathlon finals!
