Second Form pupil, Jasper has an amazing weekend at the Irish Championships for Skiing, in Kilternan, Ireland.
The two-day event consisted of day one, the Ski Club of Ireland International Slalom, in which Jasper was placed 4th in the U14 male category and 19th overall.
In the afternoon, the International Team Parallel Slalom took place. Jasper was selected by the Head of Snowsports Wales for the Wales “C” team, and the team flew, coming in a very respectable third place. The team even had their team photograph taken for the Irish Times!
On the second day of the competition, Japers competed in the Irish Slalom Championship on a very wet , slippy and challenging course.
Jasper held his own with two clear and fast runs against excellent competition, coming in third place and 15th overall, making the podium!
He is next off to Landgraffe in Holland in the half-term for a training camp in preparation for the Alpine season competitions in Europe.
