The Oswestry School 'Reading Rangers' group met this week, all together for the first time, and spent the session getting to know each other, eating biscuits and meeting Teddy - the Reading Rangers mascot!

Reading Rangers is a co-curricular coaching programme where 3rd Form students listen to Year 6 students read, during lunchtime, once a week. Along with reading, students also do a variety of reading activities such as games and quizzes.

The sessions are a great way to ease transition for Y6 pupils, and make them feel more comfortable when joining Senior School.

The programme also gives the older pupils a sense of responsibility and can count towards their volunteering for DofE awards.
