Pupils enter #DrawWithRob competition

Pupils have entered an online #DrawWithRob competition to design a suit for Formula E racing drivers.

Envision Virgin Racing joined forces with popular children’s illustrator Rob Biddulph (#DrawWithRob), National Geographic Kids and the UN’s COP26 Together For Our Planet campaign to launch a unique competition with the chance to win a once in a lifetime prize.

The competition challenged youngsters to create an environmentally inspired race-suit, with the winning design to be worn by the team’s drivers – Robin Frijns and Nick Cassidy – at an actual race later in the season!

Judging the entries will be Peter Johnson, Managing Director of National Geographic Kids, and Envision Virgin Racing’s Managing Director Sylvain Filippi. As well as having their design made and worn by the drivers, the winner will also receive a replica suit to keep for themselves – made by the team’s Official Supplier OMP.

Our talented art and design, and design technology pupils really went to town thinking about how they could create designs that would ensure these two top drivers would step out of their E cars as eco warriors.

This small sample of entries clearly exhibit the talent and enthusiasm of our pupils.

Well done everyone. We hope that one of you gets to have your design worn!
