Clean sweep for the intermediate Rotary Young Writer competition

Each year Oswestry Borderland Rotary Club hold a Young Writer competition and this year our pupils have swept the board in the intermediate (11-13 years) category.

Given the theme of 'Determination' the youngsters were tasked to write a poem or short story of no more than 500 words.

Meg in 3rd Form placed First in the competition receiving a £25 book token, Eleanor (also 3rd Form) came Second and received a £15 book token, and Nia, in 2nd Form, placed Third receiving a £10 book token.

The judges also decided that Meg should be awarded the John Cranwell Trophy - the overall winner of the entire competition.

Congratulations to all.
