Engaging Prep School Futures Carousel

To help the children at our Prep School focus on their futures, they took part in a 'Futures Carousel' today as part of the whole school Futures Fortnight programme.

We were delighted to welcome guest speakers - some brave parents and family friends - who delivered engaging, informative and thought provoking talks about their own choice of career. The children were both inspired by the passion and enthusiasm each of our speakers had for their work and gained a valuable insight into what skills and ‘Virtues’ were relevant to each role and the pathway to getting there.

Our enormous thanks go to our guests, who generously gave their time to support the event, made today not only possible, but a huge success.

Here’s an oversight of the diverse range of careers that the children learned about:

  • Caroline Stewart - Clinical Engineer, developing prosthetics and new developments in treating paralysis, etc (RJAH Hospital)
  • Greg Fray - Media Marketing (Seven Media)
  • Jo Barr - Charity work (WhizzKids supporting disabled children)
  • Justin Grayston - The future of AI (Google)
  • Ben Wison - Cyber Security (Fortinet)
