On Sunday 2nd March, our U18 Rugby 7s team took to the field at the North of England Schools Invitational Sevens—and put in a stellar shift from start to finish.
After a competitive group stage, the boys finished 2nd in their pool, with only Sedbergh ahead of them. Throughout the day, they played fast, fearless sevens, with plenty of standout moments—none bigger than their dramatic 20-19 win over Hereford Cathedral, sealed in the dying seconds of the match. A true show of resilience and composure under pressure.
Their efforts earned them a place in the Boodle & Dunthorne Salver plate competition, where they continued to battle hard before being edged out in the quarter-finals by a strong Edinburgh side.
Huge credit to the squad for their teamwork, spirit, and quality on display. Plenty to be proud of—and plenty more to come!
