Oswestry School is shortlisted for school storytelling awards

Oswestry School was recently shortlisted for two awards in the #SchoolStoriesAwards2024 - an event that celebrates digital storytelling within schools worldwide. Oswestry was nominated for:

  • Best use of Vimeo award - for our weekly E-newsletter videos which are hosted on Vimeo.
  • Best Student-Told Story award - for the @oswestryschoolfootball social media which is a pupil-led Instagram page to highlight the first XI football team's progress during the school year.

We were pipped at the post for both awards but were highly commended for our use of Vimeo.  It is fantastic to be recognised for our storytelling ad efforts to share school life with our wider community.  There were over 300 schools that entered, so to be shortlisted was a fabulous achievement!

Congratulations to the school's marketing team for being recognised for their skill in producing videos for the school community during term time, and to our sixth-form pupils that run the Oswestry School Football page with their creative social media work to support the school's sporting achievements in football.

If you would like to catch up with all the school E-newsletter videos, you can view them on the Oswestry School Vimeo page
