Forte Award - 4 April 2025

This week's Forte gathering was held by our Headmaster, Mr Middleton, and Senior Deputy Head, Mr Lane. Both were delighted to be able to meet with this week's winners and congratulate them on their efforts and achievements. Our winners were selected because they exhibited Forte virtues or values...

Domitille, Eglantine (4th), Ines (3rd)
For giving up a Sunday Afternoon, especially as this one was Mother's Day, to take lead the procession from School to St Oswald's Church in preparation  for the High Sheriff's Legal Service. Not only did the cadets have to march at the front of the procession, but they were being filmed the whole way down and live streamed into St Oswald's Church.  This meant that appearance and being in step the whole way down was rather vital. They did a superb job and represented the School and the CCF giving us a real sense of pride in our role. Mr Hibbert received a personal thank-you afterwards from a Major General who commended us on our performance. Well done and a huge Thank-You.

Mary (3rd)
Mary submitted a very special and unique design for a fashion competition, which is based on the theme of 'The Future'. She independently planned the sort of clothing that she hopes will be the fashion in the future and also added a mature analysis and explanation of her ideas. Her design is such good fun and beautifully executed. We wish her much success with her entry.

Mary also took part in the CCF High Sheriff's Parade on Sunday 30th March. Not only did the cadets have to march at the front of the procession, but they were being filmed the whole way down and live streamed into St Oswald's Church.  This meant that appearance and being in step the whole way down was rather vital.
