Whether you are a senior or a junior, whether you are joining our Easter or Summer programmes, whether you are staying for just a few days or for several weeks - it is our privilege to make sure that you are completely at home.

The video below explains a little more about our boarding facilities and pastoral care structures. For 2025 we are delighted to be welcoming students to our newly redeveloped Holbache house which offers outstanding, en-suite, university-style accomodation.

Summer School Director, Maurice Walters, gives an insight into why Oswestry School can become your home away from home.

From the point of registration, our on-boarding process will help to make you feel part of the community. You'll have an online meeting with the course director and then with some of the key staff who will be responsible for you while you are with us. You'll also usually have an online session with your tutor group - helping you to get to know each other even before you have arrived!

During your time with us, you will have a Houseparent who will look after you in your home. They'll have regular contact with your parents and guardians and will be able to help you out with practical things like where to find snacks and how to get your clothes washed.

You'll also a have a tutor - this member of staff will meet with you every morning along with other members of your tutor group. They'll check in on how you're doing, work through the day with you to make sure you're comfortable with what's happening.

In the evenings, we have set time aside for you to reflect on your experiences of the day. To do this, we have designed our own bespoke App - My Forte - which will help you keep track of everything you've been doing and all the skills you've gained.

We can't wait to welcome you and to get to know you - more than that, we can't wait to see what unique talents, ideas and character you will bring to the Oswestry Community!
